Sultanpur Lodhi (Punjab), April 6, 2026: A wave of grief has engulfed the Pandori neighborhood of Sultanpur Lodhi after four young sons of a single family died due to drug addiction. The distraught mother revealed that her children had gradually fallen into drug use, and despite treatment efforts, they could not be saved.
The mother, in an emotional appeal, described how drugs had destroyed all happiness in her household. She urged the administration and police to take strict action against drug traffickers operating in the village to prevent more families from suffering similar tragedies.
Local residents reported that drugs are easily accessible in the area, drawing more youth into addiction. Despite repeated complaints to the authorities, residents say no concrete action has been taken so far.
The villagers have demanded that the government and administration launch a strict crackdown on drug traffickers and implement a special campaign to protect young people from this menace. They warned that if urgent action is not taken, they may be forced to take matters into their own hands.
