Bathinda, April 21:
The Punjab Government has appointed Yadvinder Sharma, a resident of Bathinda district, as a Member of the District Planning Committee (DPC), strengthening the committee’s local representation and grassroots connect.
Yadvinder Sharma has been actively associated with the Aam Aadmi Party for the past few years, working as a dedicated volunteer and contributing to various organizational and public outreach activities.
The appointment letter was formally handed over by Bathinda DPC Chairman Hardeep Singh (Advocate) in the presence of Baljinder Kaur Tungwali, former Block Samiti Member. Both leaders extended their best wishes to Sharma and expressed confidence that his experience at the grassroots level would contribute positively to the district’s planning and development process.
Speaking on the occasion, party representatives highlighted that Sharma’s appointment reflects the government’s emphasis on involving committed workers in governance and decision-making bodies.
The District Planning Committee plays a crucial role in consolidating development plans prepared by panchayats and municipalities, ensuring balanced and coordinated growth across the district.
