Punjab & Haryana High Court Bar Elections 2026-27: Candidates list released, One Vice-President nomination rejected

Chandigarh, May 8, 2026: The Election Committee of the Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association (PHHCBA) has released the official list of candidates for the 2026-27 elections for various posts, including Vice-President, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Treasurer and Executive Members.
According to the list issued by the Election Committee from the Punjab and Haryana High Court premises, several candidates have been declared eligible to contest for different posts. However, one nomination for the post of Vice-President was declared ineligible due to non-completion of the mandatory membership duration under the PHHCBA Rules, 2018.

For the post of Vice-President, Sunil Agnihotri, Aashish Bishnoi, Sandeep Singh Jattan and others were declared eligible, while the nomination of Ms. Sapna Seth was rejected as the minimum eight-year membership requirement was not fulfilled under Clause 12(2) of the amended Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association Rules, 2018.
For the post of Secretary, candidates including Namit Khurana, Harvinder Singh Maan, Harsimar Singh Sitta, Bhupinder Bir Singh and Parampreet Singh Bajwa (Harry Randhawa) were declared eligible.
In the Joint Secretary category, Dr. Kirandeep Kaur, Ms. Ramandeep Kaur Brar, Ms. Rinky Gupta, Ms. Nidhi and Ms. Neetu Singh Aashat were found eligible to contest the elections.
Similarly, candidates for Treasurer include Ajay Kumar Sharma, Gaurav Grover, Jaspreet Singh Sran, Satnam Singh and Ashish Rana, all of whom were declared eligible by the Election Committee.
The Election Committee also cleared nominations for the post of Lady Member and Executive Members in both above and below 10 years’ practice categories.
