Highlighting the growing success of government schools, Mann said 272 students secured positions in the merit list, including 88 students from government schools. He added that 1,688 government schools recorded a 100% result this year.
The Chief Minister credited the success to reforms such as smart classrooms, teacher training, modern teaching methods and infrastructure upgrades introduced by the Punjab Government over the past four years.
Mann also claimed that according to recent Central Government data, Punjab has surpassed Kerala, Maharashtra and Delhi to secure the top position in primary and middle-school education.
Among districts, Amritsar recorded the highest pass percentage at 98.41%, while Ludhiana registered the highest number of merit positions.
Officials said the results reflect the state government’s continued focus on strengthening public education and providing equal learning opportunities to students from both rural and urban backgrounds.
