Apply today (May 19): Last date for Punjab PPMET 2026 B.Sc. Nursing entrance exam registration ends tonight

Chandigarh, May 19, 2026: Today is the final day for students to apply for the PPMET Entrance Examination for admission to B.Sc. Nursing courses for the 2026-27 academic session in Punjab.
Baba Farid University of Health Sciences has invited online applications for the entrance exam, which is mandatory for admission to various nursing institutes across the state.
Mrs. Nidhi Chopra, Principal of Aryans Institute of Nursing near Chandigarh, said interested candidates can complete their online registration through the university’s official portal until May 20.
She informed that the PPMET entrance examination is scheduled to be held on May 31 at multiple examination centres across Punjab.
To help students prepare for the exam, Aryans Institute of Nursing has also started free coaching classes for PPMET aspirants. Students awaiting their Class 12 results are also eligible to apply for the admission process, she added.
The institute has additionally established a help desk on campus to guide students regarding admissions, eligibility, and application form submission.
Punjab currently has nearly 17,500 to 18,000 nursing seats across undergraduate degree and diploma programmes. This includes around 5,000 B.Sc. Nursing seats, over 11,000 GNM seats, and nearly 5,700 ANM seats in government and private institutions.
Admissions to B.Sc. Nursing courses in Punjab are conducted through the PPMET examination, which sees significant competition every year. Last year, around 15,000 candidates reportedly applied for nearly 7,000 available nursing seats across the state.
