Sanjha Punjab Party, Lok Adhikar Lehar discuss alliance for 2027 Punjab Assembly elections

SAS Nagar (Punjab), May 18, 2026: Representatives of Sanjha Punjab Party and Lok Adhikar Lehar held a joint meeting in SAS Nagar to discuss the possibility of contesting the 2027 Punjab Vidhan Sabha elections together.
During the meeting, leaders from both organisations deliberated on political strategy and future cooperation. After discussions, both sides stated that their views and political objectives were largely aligned, with only organisational planning and election strategy yet to be finalised.
Leaders expressed optimism that a comprehensive roadmap for the 2027 Assembly elections could be prepared over the next few meetings.
The meeting was attended by Justice S. Jora Singh along with Balwinder Singh, Advocate Varinder Singh Khara, and textile industrialist Tarun Jain from Lok Adhikar Lehar.
Representing Sanjha Punjab Party were Presidium Convener Hardev Singh Tankshatri, party president Parminder Pal Singh Kamboj, former District and Sessions Judge, Vice President Harbhajan Singh Saini, and General Secretary Kuldeep Singh Ramgarhia.
According to participants, the discussions were held in a positive and cordial atmosphere, and both sides agreed to continue talks in the coming weeks regarding possible electoral collaboration in Punjab.
