Voting begins for 8 Municipal and 76 Municipal Councils, 21 Nagar Panchayats Corporations

Chandigarh, May 26, 2026: Voting begin for 8 Municipal Corporations, 76 Municipal Councils and 21 Nagar Panchayat today morning at 8.00 AM. Voting will conclude at 5.00 PM and result will be declared on May 29.
Municipal Corporation of Mohali, Bathinda, Batala, Barnala, Abohar, Kapurthala and Pathankot are going for elections.
Besides corporations 76 Municipal Councils and 21 Nagar Panchayats are also witnessing polls.
A total of 7555 candidates are in fray in these elections.
