Punjab Transfers Six IAS Officers; Girish Dayalan Posted as Special Secretary, Jails

Chandigarh, June 6, 2026:
The Punjab Government on Saturday ordered the transfer and posting of six IAS officers with immediate effect as part of an administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening governance across key departments.
According to the orders issued by the Department of Personnel, IAS officer Manvesh Singh Sidhu (2004 batch) has been given the additional charge of Managing Director, Punjab Infrastructure Development Board (PIDB) while continuing as Administrative Secretary, Labour, Secretary Revenue & Rehabilitation, and Commissioner, Roopnagar Division.
Girish Dayalan (2011 batch) has been shifted from his multiple responsibilities as Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Managing Director of Punjab State Cooperative Bank, PIDB and MARKFED, and posted as Special Secretary, Jails.
Sanyam Aggarwal (2012 batch), who is serving as Special Secretary, Health & Family Welfare and CEO of the State Health Agency, has been assigned additional charge as Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Punjab, and Managing Director, Punjab State Cooperative Bank, replacing Girish Dayalan.
Vishesh Sarangal (2013 batch) has been entrusted with the additional charge of Managing Director, MARKFED while continuing as Special Secretary, Good Governance & Information Technology, Director, Good Governance & IT, and CEO of Punjab State e-Governance Society.
Sakshi Sawhney (2014 batch) has been appointed Special Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, while retaining her existing responsibilities as Mission Director, National Health Mission, Punjab, and Chief Administrator, Punjab Urban Planning & Development Authority (PUDA).
Preeti Yadav (2014 batch) has been given the additional responsibility of Special Secretary, Expenditure (Finance Department) along with her present charge as Special Secretary, Employment Generation, Skill Development & Training.
The government has directed all officers concerned to assume their new assignments immediately. It has also instructed the respective departments to make internal arrangements for handling the work of posts that have fallen vacant following these transfers.
