BJP moving towards forming next Govt in Punjab: Manohar Lal Khattar

Amritsar (Punjab), June 13, 2026: Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party is steadily moving towards forming the next government in Punjab, asserting that the party is strengthening its presence across the state.
Speaking to reporters during a visit to Amritsar, where he held a meeting with traders and business representatives, Khattar said the BJP is emerging as a strong political force in Punjab and is working towards securing public support ahead of future elections.
Referring to the challenges faced by people in the state, the Union Minister said Punjabis are grappling with several issues and difficulties. He assured that if the BJP forms the government, addressing public grievances and accelerating development would be among its top priorities.
Khattar stated that the party is committed to improving governance and delivering solutions to the concerns of citizens. He said the BJP aims to bring Punjab onto a stronger path of growth and development.
The minister's remarks came during an interaction with members of the business community, where discussions were held on trade-related issues and policies of the central government. His comments on Punjab's political future have sparked fresh debate in the state's political circles.
