Punjab Congress serves show-cause notice on Madan Lal Jalalpur

Chandigarh, July 6, 2026: The Punjab Congress has issued a show-cause notice to former MLA Madan Lal Jalalpur over his alleged public remarks against senior party leaders.
The notice, issued by Avtar Henry, Chairman of the Congress Disciplinary Committee, seeks a written explanation from Jalalpur within three days.
According to the notice, Jalalpur allegedly made public statements against Congress General Secretary K.C. Venugopal and the party's Punjab in-charge Bhupesh Baghel. The disciplinary committee has asked him to explain his conduct and clarify the circumstances under which the remarks were made.
