DSP Jaspal Singh convicted in Khalra case missing after release from Nabha Jail-Media reports

Chandigarh/Nabha, July 9, 2026: In a dramatic turn of events DSP Jaspal Singh who was convicted in abduction and murder case of human right activist Jaswant Singh Khalra is reportedly missing after his release from Nabha Jail in 2023.
According to media reports, he was released from Nabha Agriculture open Jail in 2023. He has given his address as resident of village Manjhi in Hoshiarpur district. But when the controversy erupted in Punjab regarding film ‘Satluj’ Nabha Jail Administration wrote to Hoshiarpur Police to trace DSP Jaspal Singh.
According to these media reports, DSP Jaspal Singh was missing and when a team of police tried to trace him in village Manjhi in Hoshiarpur local residents disclosed that he was never a resident of this village nor he resides there at present.
