VWS Radio 90.0 launches ‘Lok Awaaz’ to amplify community voices
Ferozepur, July 10, 2026: Ferozepur's only Community Radio Station, VWS Radio 90.0, has launched "Lok Awaaz – VWS Community Voices," a unique initiative aimed at amplifying inspiring voices from the region and fostering meaningful community engagement through thought-provoking conversations.
The programme was formally inaugurated by Dr. Gaurav Sagar Bhaskar, Chairman, Vivekananda World School (VWS), and Dr. S. N. Rudra, Director, VWS, in the presence of Mahima Kapoor, Vice President (Administration); Shipra Arora, Vice President (Academics); Sapan Vats, Public Relations Officer; and Darshan Sidhu, Sports Coordinator.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. S. N. Rudra said that Ferozepur needs platforms like Lok Awaaz to bring inspiring stories into the spotlight and create awareness about important social issues. He expressed confidence that the initiative would promote meaningful dialogue, strengthen community participation, and motivate citizens to play an active role in the development of society.
The initiative has been designed to recognise individuals who have made remarkable contributions in diverse fields and provide them with a platform to share their experiences and ideas. Through exclusive interviews with distinguished personalities from Ferozepur, the programme will highlight topics such as social service, women empowerment, education, youth development, healthcare, environmental conservation, entrepreneurship, and other public welfare initiatives.
One of the most distinctive features of Lok Awaaz – VWS Community Voices is that the interviews will be conducted by students of Vivekananda World School. This hands-on experience will help students develop essential skills in communication, research, leadership, and interviewing while encouraging them to engage meaningfully with accomplished members of the community.
The initiative reflects VWS Radio 90.0's commitment to connecting people, promoting positive change, and giving a voice to stories that inspire, educate, and strengthen the social fabric of the region.
