CGC Landran wins overall Best Institution Trophy at NCC CATC-94

Chandigarh, July 27, 2026: The NCC contingent of Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Landran, won the Overall Best Institution Trophy at the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-94) held at NCC Academy, Ropar, adding another feather in the cap of its institutional legacy.
The camp witnessed participation from nearly 600 cadets representing 20 institutions, where the CGC Landran NCC team demonstrated discipline, teamwork and commitment across a range of competitive events.
The contingent secured First Position in the Drill Competition, Declamation Competition and Volleyball, along with Second and Third Positions in the Firing and Poster Making competitions, respectively.
The achievement reflects the consistent efforts and dedication of the NCC cadets, supported by the institution’s academic and co-curricular ecosystem.
The institution also acknowledged the guidance and mentorship of Commanding Officer Col. A.S. Parkar, Lt. Col. Anoop Pathania (AO), and the training staff of 26 PB BN NCC, Mohali, for their role in shaping the cadets.
Congratulating the cadets and expressing pride in their accomplishment, Dr. Rajdeep Singh, Campus Director, CGC Landran said, “This achievement is a testament of the discipline, perseverance and team spirit demonstrated by our NCC cadets. Their performance at CATC-94 highlights the strength of the training and mentorship they receive. We are confident that they will continue to uphold these values and bring further laurels to the institution.”
At CGC Landran, the NCC department continues to focus on holistic development, preparing students not only for competitive platforms but also for leadership roles, community service, and careers in the armed forces.
Over the years, several cadets from the institution have gone on to be commissioned as officers in the Defence Forces. This honour also reflects the sustained performance of the NCC department at CGC Landran, with cadets consistently being selected for the NCC Youth Exchange Programmes (YEP), various national level campus and to march in the NCC contingent at the Republic Day Parade on Kartavya Path.
This accomplishment aligns with CGC Landran’s steadfast commitment to nation-building through the holistic development of its students, equipping them with discipline, leadership and a sense of service.
