BREAKING: Dr. Meenakshi Goyal Appointed as Acting VC of Panjab University

Chandigarh, July 28, 2026- A major administrative shuffle has taken place at Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh. Following the orders of the Vice President of India who serves as the Chancellor of Panjab University Dr. Meenakshi Goyal, the current Dean of University Instruction (DUI), has been handed the responsibilities of Vice-Chancellor.
According to a notification issued by the Vice President’s Secretariat, Dr. Meenakshi Goyal will assume charge and responsibilities as the Vice-Chancellor starting the morning of July 29, 2026. This interim arrangement will remain in effect until further orders or until a permanent appointment is made.
