Following extensive security assessments across the Ferozepur and Faridkot Ranges, Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab, Gaurav Yadav, visited Bathinda today to chair a high-level security review meeting with senior officers of the Bathinda Range ahead of Independence Day celebrations.
During the visit, the DGP inaugurated the newly renovated, state-of-the-art Integrated Command and Control Centre for Bathinda Police. Built at a cost of Rs 2.75 crore, the upgraded facility integrates the Emergency Response Support System (112 calls), city-wide CCTV surveillance powered by 282 cameras across 59 strategic locations, advanced video analytics, seamless wireless connectivity, and real-time crime monitoring data. The high-tech centre is set to significantly enhance the technical capabilities of Bathinda Police, serving as a major force multiplier in maintaining law and order.
