Voters urged to check their names and details in Draft Electoral Rolls on Aug 16 at respective polling booths
Ferozepur, August 13, 2026: District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur, Deepshikha Sharma has appealed to all voters in the district to visit their respective polling booths on August 16, 2026, and check their names and other details in the draft electoral rolls.
Special camps will be organised on August 16 for verification of the draft electoral rolls. All Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will remain present at their respective polling booths from 10 am to 1 pm, where the draft electoral roll pertaining to the booth will be available. Voters can check their names, particulars and other relevant information with the assistance of the BLO.
The draft electoral roll is also available on the official website of the District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur, at ferozepur.nic.in, where voters can check their details online.
The District Election Officer urged voters to visit their polling booths on the scheduled date and ensure that their names and particulars in the electoral roll are correct. In case of any objection or requirement for correction, voters can approach the BLO present at the camp and submit the required claim or objection as per the prescribed procedure.
The period for filing claims and objections has been fixed from August 13 to September 12. For enrolment as a new voter, Form 6 can be submitted, while Form 8 can be used for correction of particulars in the electoral roll or voter card and for shifting of residence. These forms can be submitted online through voters.eci.gov.in or through the ECINET mobile app. Voters may also submit forms manually by seeking assistance from the concerned Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) office or Booth Level Officer.
The district administration has appealed to all voters to verify their names and details in the electoral roll to ensure proper exercise of their right to vote.
