  Chandigarh, August 19, 2026: Water level in Ghaggar and Tangri rivers has risen since last night after heavy rainfall in catchment areas.
  
  Chandigarh, its surrounding areas and high reaches of Himachal Pradesh have witnessed heavy rainfall since last two days and IMD has also predicted heavy rainfall for today also.
  
  Tangri was flowing at 9 feet late at night whereas water level was also on alarming level in Ghaggar near Mubarakpur in Dera Bassi area.
