Sourish Chawla Foundation launches independently funded public-interest institution in New Delhi
Section 8 not-for-profit institution to focus on fraud prevention, cyber safety, education and capacity building

New Delhi, August 22, 2026: The Sourish Chawla Foundation (SCF), an independently funded Section 8 not-for-profit institution, has begun its public-interest work from New Delhi with a focus on awareness, prevention, education and capacity building.
Founded by Dr. Gaurav Chawla and Dr. Karan Chawla, the Foundation aims to develop structured awareness and capacity-building initiatives for institutions and communities under its guiding purpose, “Awareness That Protects.”
Its areas of focus include financial awareness and fraud prevention, cyber safety and digital protection, artificial intelligence and emerging risks, education, entrepreneurship, skill development and knowledge-based public engagement.
The Foundation plans to work with government departments, public-sector organisations, educational institutions, corporates, professionals and domain experts through awareness programmes, workshops, institutional sessions, roundtables and other knowledge-sharing initiatives.
SCF said it will operate independently and is not being launched as a fundraising-driven initiative. Its immediate focus will be on developing institutional partnerships, creating practical awareness interventions and undertaking sustained public-interest work.
“The launch is only the beginning. Our intention is to build SCF through meaningful, neutral and public-interest work—one initiative at a time,” the Foundation said.
