MLA Bhullar leads Mission Clean Punjab drive, sweeps Ferozepur’s circular road
Ferozepur, August 31, 2026: Ferozepur Urban MLA Ranbir Singh Bhullar actively participated in the cleanliness drive undertaken by the Municipal Council Ferozepur under the Punjab Government’s Mission Clean Punjab campaign, personally picking up a broom and joining sanitation workers in cleaning the city.
The cleanliness drive was carried out from Bagdadi Gate to Zira Gate along the Circular Road, with the objective of making Ferozepur cleaner and garbage-free. MLA Bhullar’s wife, Dr Amandeep Kaur Gossal, also participated in the campaign, while several Municipal Council councillors and officials were present.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Ranbir Singh Bhullar said the Mission Clean Punjab campaign has been launched with the objective of making Punjab clean and garbage-free under the targets set by Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains. He appealed to the residents of Ferozepur to actively participate in the campaign and extend their cooperation to the Municipal Council to make the city cleaner and more hygienic.
Municipal Council Executive Officer Narinder Kumar said that cleanliness activities would continue from August 29 to September 8. During this period, various link roads, Circular Road, Mall Road and other public places across the city would be cleaned as part of the campaign.
Municipal Council Superintendent Sanitation Dr Sukhpal Singh and Sanitary Inspector Rustam Sher Sodhi appealed to residents to cooperate with the civic body and maintain cleanliness in their surroundings. They urged people to hand over household waste to waste collectors and avoid dumping garbage on roads and public places. They said active public participation was essential for making Ferozepur a clean and garbage-free city.
Among those present on the occasion were Sanitary Mates Amar Bhatti, Raj Kumar and Rajesh Kumar, Raja, Programme Coordinator Simranjit Singh, Gurdev Singh, Suman Rani, Supervisor Mahinder Singh, Mangat Rai, Vikas Kumar and members of the team of motivators.
