MLA Dahiya hands over appointment letters to 15 Anganwadi workers and helpers
Ferozepur, September 5, 2026: Ferozepur Rural MLA Rajnish Dahiya on Friday distributed appointment letters to 15 newly appointed Anganwadi workers and helpers belonging to Ghall Khurd and Ferozepur blocks. The appointment letters were handed over to six Anganwadi workers and nine Anganwadi helpers at a function held in Ferozepur.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Dahiya said the Punjab Government was continuing its drive to provide employment opportunities to unemployed youth and appointment letters were being issued to eligible candidates as part of this initiative.
He said Anganwadi workers and helpers play an important role in taking government welfare schemes and services to people at the grassroots level. They act as an important link between the government and beneficiaries, particularly in matters relating to health, nutrition and social welfare.
Congratulating the newly appointed workers and helpers, Dahiya said they had now become an important part of the government’s grassroots delivery system. He urged them to work with dedication and ensure that maximum people, particularly beneficiaries in rural areas, were made aware of and able to avail themselves of government health, social and economic welfare schemes.
Senior leader Bhupinder Kaur Sandhu, Block Samiti member Parmpal Singh Gill, village Pyareana Sarpanch Mandeep Singh, CDPO Sukhwinder Kaur, Block Coordinator Anchal Arora, Supervisors Asha Pal Kaur, Darshan Kaur and Rajwinder Kaur, Gurwinder Singh, Sukhbir Singh and others were present on the occasion.
