Commissioner Babita inspects SIR camps in Ferozepur, Reviews electoral roll revision work
Ferozepur, September 6, 2026: Ferozepur Divisional Commissioner-cum-Roll Observer Babita, IAS, visited various polling booths in the district on Sunday to inspect the special camps being organised under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR-2026) of electoral rolls.
The camps were organised at all polling stations in Ferozepur district in accordance with the directions of the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab. During the camps, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) remained present at their respective polling stations and assisted voters in filling forms for new voter registration, correction of existing voter details, shifting of votes, replacement of EPIC cards and marking of Persons with Disabilities (PwD) voters.
During her visit, Commissioner Babita inspected polling booths in Ferozepur City Assembly Constituency-76 and Guruharsahai Assembly Constituency-78. She reviewed the progress of the SIR-related work and interacted with officials regarding the facilities being provided to voters.
The Commissioner said the special camps were held from 10 am to 4 pm, during which BLOs facilitated eligible voters in submitting forms for new registrations and corrections in existing electoral records.
She said officials and employees from other concerned departments had also been deputed to support the camps and ensure that the SIR exercise was completed within the stipulated time frame.
Babita further informed voters that forms related to voter registration and other electoral roll services can also be submitted online through the ECINet portal.
