Breaking: MP Amritpal Singh to contest Punjab Assembly polls from two seats

Chandigarh, September 25, 2026: Lok Sabha MP Amritpal Singh will be contesting the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections from two constituencies, with one seat each being considered in the Majha and Malwa regions,
Disclosing this decision of the Akali Dal Waris Punjab De, Manpreet Singh Ayali, a senior leader of the party said the party’s parliamentary board would take the final decision on the constituencies.He didi not disclose the names of the constituencies.
Amritpal Singh, who represents Khadoor Sahib in the Lok Sabha, has emerged as a prominent figure in Punjab’s Panthic political space. His party has already begun preparing for the 2027 Assembly elections and has announced candidates for several constituencies.
