Breaking: BSF foils infiltration attempt along Tarn Taran border; Two intruders killed

Tarn Taran (Punjab), October 2, 2026: The Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday foiled an alleged infiltration attempt along the India-Pakistan international border in Tarn Taran district, killing two suspected infiltrators in a firing incident.
According to information available, BSF personnel deployed along the border noticed the suspicious movement of two individuals attempting to enter Indian territory.
The personnel reportedly issued warnings asking them to stop and return. However, when the two individuals allegedly continued moving towards the Indian side, BSF personnel opened fire, killing both.
Following the incident, security agencies intensified surveillance and launched search operations in Tarn Taran and other border areas.
Security arrangements have also been tightened in villages and other areas close to the international border. Security forces are maintaining heightened vigilance to detect and prevent any further infiltration attempts or suspicious activity.
