Breaking: 5 people including MD, Anchor, Journalists of private news channel arrested in Haryana

Kurukshetra (Haryana), October 11, 2026: The Kurukshetra Police in Haryana have arrested five people, including Atul Agarwal, Managing Director of news channel Living India News, in connection with an alleged fake sting operation involving a private video and allegations of blackmailing.
The other arrested persons have been identified as editor Saurabh, anchor Sudesh Nain, and journalists Neetu and Lovepreet.
According to a statement issued by Kurukshetra Superintendent of Police Chandra Mohan, the arrests were made on the basis of scientific and technical evidence gathered during the investigation.
The police alleged that a private video, recorded by the channel on April 16, was presented as a live sting operation despite allegedly being recorded elsewhere. The complainant also accused the suspects of blackmailing them by threatening to make the video’s contents public, the police said.
Following the complaint, a case was registered at Thanesar police station under relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act and the Indian Penal Code (IPC), according to the police statement.
The police are examining the original video, mobile phones and other technical evidence to establish the circumstances surrounding the recording and broadcast, as well as the alleged blackmailing.
Further investigation is underway to establish the sequence of events and the alleged motive behind the operation.
