CGC Landran’s Anubhav selected for NCC Youth Exchange Programme 2026 in Russia
Landran, 14 October 2026- CGC Landran’s NCC cadet and B.Tech CSE student, Senior Under Officer (SUO) Anubhav, has been selected to represent India at the prestigious Youth Exchange Programme (YEP) 2026 in Russia, from October 12 to 19, 2026. The programme provides selected NCC cadets with an international platform to engage in cultural exchange and promote youth leadership, discipline, mutual respect, national integration, friendship and international goodwill. SUO Anubhav is the only male cadet selected for YEP 2026 from the Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh Directorate, distinguishing himself among cadets from across the region.
Before departing for Russia, Anubhav underwent preparatory training and orientation at the Directorate General NCC (DG NCC), New Delhi, to prepare for the programme. His selection follows his participation in the National Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026 in New Delhi, where he marched on Kartavya Path as part of the NCC contingent on Republic Day, representing CGC Landran at the national level. His progression from the National RDC to an international youth exchange programme reflects his continued commitment to NCC activities and the role of structured training in preparing cadets for opportunities involving greater responsibility and national representation. CGC Landran takes pride in its legacy of nurturing NCC cadets who go on to represent the institution on international platforms. Former CGC Landran students and NCC cadets including Medhavi Tomar and Khushdeep Kaur have previously represented the institution at Youth Exchange Programmes in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. With his selection for YEP 2026 in Russia, Anubhav carries this proud tradition forward.
Congratulating SUO Anubhav on his achievement, Dr. Rajdeep Singh, Campus Director, CGC Landran, said, “Anubhav’s selection to represent India at the Youth Exchange Programme 2026 in Russia is a significant milestone in his NCC journey and a moment of immense pride for the entire CGC Landran family. His achievement reflects his dedication, discipline, perseverance and commitment to excellence and serves as an inspiration to fellow students. We are confident that he will represent the nation and the institution with distinction, while embracing this opportunity to foster cross-cultural understanding and international goodwill. I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to him for a rewarding and enriching experience.”
Expressing his happiness at being selected, SUO Anubhav acknowledged the guidance and support of the institution, his faculty members and seniors, particularly Lt. (Dr.) Santosh Kumar, Head of the NCC Department at CGC Landran. He also expressed his gratitude to the 26 Punjab Battalion NCC and its training staff for their continued encouragement and mentorship, which have supported him throughout his NCC journey.
For Anubhav, the selection marks an important milestone in his NCC journey, giving him the opportunity to represent India, experience diverse cultures and broaden his global perspective, demonstrating how discipline, dedication and active participation in co-curricular activities can open doors to national and international opportunities. At CGC Landran, the emphasis remains on complementing academic learning with practical exposure, enabling students to strengthen their knowledge, communication skills and leadership abilities while building the confidence to excel in diverse environments.
