Chandigarh, October 30, 2026: The 29th Chandigarh Fair 2026, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Northern Region, opened at Parade Ground, Sector 17, Chandigarh, on Friday. The four-day event, being held from October 30 to November 2, was inaugurated by Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria.
The inauguration ceremony included a traditional Gatka performance by the National Kalgirtar Gatka Akhara Group from Fatehgarh Sahib, featuring young national gold medallists.

Kataria visited the stalls, interacted with exhibitors and appreciated the range of products, handlooms and regional crafts on display. He said bringing more than 250 exhibitors under one roof provided an important platform for businesses and artisans while showcasing Chandigarh’s commercial and cultural diversity.
Spread across three halls, the fair features products and displays related to home décor, interiors, lifestyle, fashion, wellness, handicrafts, handlooms and food. Special attractions include the West Bengal State Pavilion and stalls by the National Jute Board under the Union Ministry of Textiles.
Around 60 per cent of the participating exhibitors belong to the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) sector, providing small businesses and artisans an opportunity to showcase their products.

The outdoor North India Auto Show features vehicles from leading manufacturers, including Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Isuzu, Tata, Hyundai and Renault. Stalls by financial institutions and organisations, including the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), are also part of the event.
The fair has attracted visitors exploring its shopping, lifestyle, automotive and regional showcases. It will remain open to the public until November 2.
