Mera Khazana .....Remembering My Professional Journey at PTC
Had the opportunity to attend PTC Seva Sammaan 2025. Along with PTC CEO Rajiee Shinde, it was wonderful meeting dear friends like Shamsher Sandhu, as well as well-known artists such as Darshan Aulakh, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Binnu Dhillon, Nikku, Gavy Chahal, and Rupinder Handa. I also got a chance to say hello to Sonali, the organiser of Diljit Dosanjh’s shows.
PTC’s initiative was truly commendable, as the event was dedicated to honouring organisations, personalities, volunteers, sevadaars, and artists who contributed in various ways to support the flood-affected people of Punjab.
Not sure why Jasbir Jassi and Mankirt Aulakh could not make it to the event.
On this occasion, I also met those PTC colleagues who had worked in the organisation from September 2009 to November 2011, during which I too was associated with PTC News as the Editorial Advisor. Besides my weekly talk show “Tirchhi Nazar”, I was also partly responsible for PTC’s expansion into the USA and Canada, which had just begun at that time.
My sudden shift from print journalism—at Ajit and other organisations—into visual journalism on television, and the time I spent at PTC, will always remain memorable for me. Rembering those days, i recollected that PTC platform provided me with tremendous opportunities to learn as well as to enjoy this profession. Rajiee Madam was the CEO of PTC even then, and Rabindra Narayan was the President.
