IAS officer Govind Jaiswal prematurely repatriated to parent cadre

New Delhi, October 9, 2026: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the premature repatriation of IAS officer Govind Jaiswal to his parent cadre, with an extended cooling-off period.
Jaiswal, a 2007-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, was serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education.
The decision was approved on the basis of a proposal submitted by the Department of Higher Education on October 1, 2026, according to an official order issued on October 9.
