MGNREGA Technical Asstt suspended in Ferozepur over alleged embezzlement
Ferozepur, April 27, 2026: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) has suspended Amrik Singh, Technical Assistant of Block Ghall Khurd working under the MGNREGA scheme, following the detection of alleged embezzlement during scrutiny of official records.
According to the orders issued on April 23, the action has been taken on administrative grounds with immediate effect. During the suspension period, the headquarter of Amrik Singh will be in the head office of the Zila Parishad, Ferozepur.
Officials stated that the irregularities came to light while reviewing records related to development works executed under the scheme. However, the exact details and nature of the alleged embezzlement have not been disclosed so far. Further inquiry into the matter is expected.
