Surender Ahluwalia secures second position at Chandigarh Marathon & Wellness 2026

Chandigarh, October 13, 2026: Veteran marathoner, endurance athlete and fitness promoter Surender Ahluwalia secured the second position in the 65+ age category in the 10K run at the Chandigarh Marathon & Wellness 2026, held at the iconic Capitol Complex, Chandigarh.’
With more than 75 marathons to her credit, and multiple podium finishes, Surender Ahluwalia continues to inspire runners across age groups for wellness, health and fitness with a strong message of "No to Drugs".
She is also the Co-Founder of Sambh Sambhal Foundation and has been associated with various community and environmental initiatives for 15+ years.
Organised by Chandigarh Life, the marathon event was very well organised and witnessed enthusiastic participation from kids, runners and fitness enthusiasts. Chandigarh Deputy Commissioner IAS Nishant Kumar Yadav was present along with other distinguished dignitaries.
The event was supported by several partners, including Dash and Brown, Sadda Patar Surya Zero Waste, Vyna Electric, Roundglass Foundation, BIG FM, and others.
Adding a meaningful environmental dimension to the event, a tree will be planted in the name of every run completed by the participants. Surender Ahluwalia, who also referred as Green Lady Patiala, appreciated the efforts of organisers for the Chandigarh Marathon & Wellness 2026 which brought together fitness, wellness, community participation and environmental consciousness, making it a memorable celebration of running and healthy living.
