Chandigarh, March 16, 2025 – Haryana is set to witness a significant administrative restructuring this year, with the retirement of eight senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and the promotion of 27 Haryana Civil Service (HCS) officers to the IAS cadre.
8 Senior IAS Officers to Retire
According to the list released by the Haryana Personnel Department, eight IAS officers will retire between April and December 2025. Their retirement is expected to create opportunities for new officers within the state administration.

27 HCS Officers Approved for IAS Promotion
The Haryana government has approved the promotion of 27 HCS officers from the 2002-2004 batch to the IAS cadre. The proposal will now be sent to the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for final approval, after which these officers will officially join the IAS.

Veena Hooda, Surendra Singh, Jagdeep Dhanda, Dr. Sarita Malik, Kamlesh Kumar Bhadu, Munish Nagpal, Kuldhir Singh, Vatsal Vashistha, Jaganivas, Mahabir Prasad, Mahendra Pal, Satpal Sharma, Sushil Kumar, Varsha Khangwal, Virendra Sahrawat, Satendra Duhan, Manita Malik, Satbir Singh, Amrita Siwach, Yogesh Kumar, Dr. Vandana Disodiya, Dr. Subhita Dhaka, Jaideep Kumar, Samvartak Khangwal, Anurag Dhalia, Yogesh Kumar Mehta, and Naveen Kumar Ahuja.
Major Administrative Reshuffle Expected
With the retirement of senior IAS officers and the promotion of HCS officers, the state government is likely to implement a major administrative reshuffle. Key departments such as the Chief Minister’s Office, Home Department, and Finance Department may see new appointments.
According to sources, the government is also planning new district postings for the promoted officers, aiming to enhance administrative efficiency and assign critical responsibilities to new officers.
