Chandigarh, July 3, 2025: In a significant political development, Punjab Cabinet Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal announced his resignation from the ministerial post, stating that his decision was voluntary and without conflict.
Speaking to reporters, Dhaliwal clarified that he stepped down in the larger interest of the state and party. “I have resigned on my own. Punjab comes first for me; post and department are not important,” he said.
Dhaliwal added that he was informed someone else would be given an opportunity in the cabinet, and he welcomed the decision wholeheartedly.
“I was told that someone else would be given a chance. I said yes, definitely, a chance should be given. That is why I have resigned. There is no issue at all,” he explained. Reaffirming his loyalty to AAP, he said, “I am with the party and will continue working for Punjab.”
