Amritsar (Punjab), September 14, 2025: An emotional appeal for help during the recent floods brought attention to 8-year-old Avijot Singh from Amritsar, who required urgent medical care due to a serious illness.
Acting swiftly on Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s directions, the local administration arranged a boat ambulance to transport the child to a medical college, where he is now receiving treatment.
Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh later met Avijot and his family at the hospital, offering words of support and presenting a financial aid cheque of ₹50,000 to assist them during this difficult time.
