3-Day Training for Census 2027 begins in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, March 31, 2026: Preparations for India’s Census 2027 are gaining momentum in Ferozepur district, with a focus on ensuring a smooth, accurate, and effective execution of the exercise. Under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Deepshikha Sharma, a three-day training program on house listing and housing census has commenced at the DC Complex training hall.
The primary objective of this training is to ensure that the first phase of the census is conducted in a scientific and reliable manner, laying a strong foundation for subsequent stages of planning and implementation.
Officials and employees and various departments across the district participated enthusiastically in the training. Key resource persons, including District Census Coordinator Kartik Arya, Research Officer Gurinder Singh, Assistant Research Officer Tarsem Lal, along with officials from the District Statistical Office and Education Department, provided detailed insights into all critical aspects of the census process.
During the sessions, trainers explained methods of house listing, accurate identification of structures, enumeration of households, data collection techniques, and proper record-filling procedures in a clear and practical manner. They emphasized that house listing is the most crucial phase of the census, as all future processes depend on its accuracy.
