New Delhi, May 8, 2026: Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) President Harmeet Singh Kalka on Thursday congratulated Parvinder Singh Lakhi and his associates for joining Shiromani Akali Dal Delhi State, stating that committed and honest youth leadership can significantly strengthen the organisation at the grassroots level.
In a statement issued here, Kalka said that whenever large numbers of young people work together with sincerity and dedication in any constituency, no opposing force can stand against them. He praised the panthic thinking and enthusiasm of the youth, saying their commitment towards religious and social values was inspiring at a time when many people focus only on political gains.
The DSGMC President said that Shiromani Akali Dal Delhi State is not merely a political party, but an organisation devoted to the service of Guru Ghars, promotion of Sikhism, and strengthening social unity. He added that through the management of gurdwaras, educational institutions, schools, colleges and hospitals, the organisation has been continuously serving every section of society.
Emphasising the importance of youth participation, Harmeet Singh Kalka said the strength of every organisation lies in its younger generation. He expressed happiness over the active involvement of youth in Ward 41 and said their participation would further strengthen the roots of Shiromani Akali Dal Delhi State in the national capital.
Kalka also urged Parvinder Singh Lakhi to identify and encourage more active youth from the area and entrust them with responsibilities in the party and its youth wing so that the organisation could expand further across Delhi.
He further announced that a major conference would soon be organised to inform the Sangat about the various public welfare and religious services carried out by the DSGMC over the years. He assured that the newly joined youth members would also be given important responsibilities within the party and institutions functioning under the DSGMC.
Thanking the youth and the Sangat, Kalka said collective efforts would help achieve new milestones for the progress of the panth and welfare of society.
