IPS officer Harpreet Singh Jaggi appointed Police Observer for Fazilka-Ferozepur Civic Polls

Ferozepur (Punjab), May 23, 2026: The Punjab State Election Commission has appointed Harpreet Singh Jaggi as Police Observer for the Ferozepur-Fazilka Range in view of the upcoming Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat Elections 2026.
Harpreet Singh Jaggi, an IPS officer currently serving as Deputy Inspector General of Police in the Economic Offences Wing of the Punjab Vigilance Bureau, will oversee law-and-order arrangements and election-related policing in the region during the civic polls.
Officials said the appointment has been made to ensure free, fair and peaceful elections across the concerned districts. The Police Observer has appealed to voters to exercise their democratic right fearlessly and without coming under any pressure, intimidation or inducement.
