1994-batch IPS officer appointed Director, Sardar Vallabhabhai Patel National Police Academy

New Delhi, July 6, 2026: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Sujeet Pandey, a 1994-batch IPS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, as the Director of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), Hyderabad.
According to an official order issued on Monday, Pandey has been appointed to the post in Level-16 of the Pay Matrix. His tenure will begin from the date he assumes charge and will continue until July 31, 2028, the date of his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Pandey succeeds Amit Garg, a 1993-batch IPS officer of the Andhra Pradesh cadre, who has been appointed as the Director of the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB).
The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) is India's premier institution for training Indian Police Service (IPS) officers and plays a key role in leadership development and capacity building for senior police officers.
