River Beas flows dangerously after release of 40,000 cusec water from Pandoh dam

Mandi/Chandigarh, August 8, 2026: Water level in river Beas is flowing dangerously after 40,000 cusec water was released from Pandoh dam after heavy rains in upper areas of Himachal Pradesh.
As per reports three flood gates of Pandoh dam were opened to release 40,000 cusec water which led to increase in water level in Beas.
The state is continuously witnessing heavy rains since last few days and this rainfall has created havoc in the state with destruction of many link and main roads besides houses and other establishments.
