Big Breaking: HC stays recruitment for 454 Pharmacist posts at Baba Farid University

Chandigarh, August 12, 2026:The Punjab and Haryana High Court has stayed the appointment process for 454 Pharmacist (Pharmacy Officer) posts advertised by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot.
The case relates to the recruitment advertised by Baba Farid University through an advertisement dated June 11, 2026, for 454 posts of Pharmacist (Pharmacy Officer).
During the hearing, counsel appearing for the respondents informed the court that the appointment process had already been stalled due to the pendency of the writ petition. The court subsequently directed that the appointment process shall remain stayed until the next date of hearing.
The court has deferred the hearing of the case to September 17, 2026, after the State counsel and counsel representing respondents No. 3 and 4 sought time to file their replies.
