An accomplished police officer, a highly educated academician, a national-level sportsperson and an accomplished performer, Harashjot Kaur has consistently distinguished herself in every field she has entered.
Her academic credentials are equally impressive. She holds a B.Sc. in Biotechnology, M.A., M.Phil, PGDCA and PGDFS, besides having cleared the prestigious JRF and NET examinations. Her educational journey reflects the same determination and discipline that have defined her professional career.
Honoured for Outstanding Policing
In the Punjab Police, Harashjot Kaur has earned recognition for her commitment to duty and professional excellence. She was conferred the Chief Minister's Medal for Outstanding Devotion to Duty in 2020, one of the notable recognitions of her policing career.
She has also been awarded the DGP Disc for Outstanding Policing. Her technical expertise in police competitions brought another distinction when she won a Gold Medal in Lifting, Handling & Packing, for which she was honoured with a cash reward by the DGP.
At the national level, she further demonstrated her professional skills by winning a Bronze Medal in Fingerprinting at the All India Police Duty Meet.
A Champion of Punjabi Folk Culture
Beyond the police uniform, Harashjot Kaur has made an exceptional contribution to Punjabi folk culture.
A Gold Medalist in Gidha, Sammi and Luddi at the Inter-University level at Punjabi University, Patiala, she has also earned both College Colour and University Colour, with the University Colour being awarded to her twice.
Her association with folk arts has gone beyond participation. She has served as a judge for Gidha, Sammi and Luddi at Inter-Zonal and Zonal Youth Festivals of Punjabi University, Patiala, and has also judged Sammi and Luddi at Inter-Zonal and Zonal Youth Festivals of Punjab University, Chandigarh.
She has further served as a judge for Gidha at the Inter-University Youth Festivals in 2022 and 2025.
Her journey through youth festivals spans several years, with participation from 2007 to 2014 at Zonal, Inter-Zonal and Inter-University levels.
National-Level Hockey Player
Her achievements are not confined to academics, policing and performing arts. Harashjot Kaur has also represented herself at the national level in hockey, winning a Bronze Medal.
Even during her school years, she displayed exceptional academic ability, emerging as a +2 Medical topper.
From All India Radio to the Silver Screen
Harashjot Kaur's creative journey is perhaps as remarkable as her professional career.
With acting as one of her major passions, she has appeared as the main lead in several Punjabi films, television productions, short films and music videos.
Her filmography includes Qissa Punjab (2015), Sardar Mohammad (2017), Bhulekha (2018), Mera Baba Nanak (2023) and Balle O Chalak Sajjna (2023).
On television, she played the main lead in “Gharaan Nu Vaapsi Da Vela”, broadcast on Doordarshan Jalandhar in 2014.
Her acting portfolio also includes short films such as Left Right (2019) and Adda Khadda (2012).
Her versatility has been further reflected in her appearances as the main lead in a number of popular music videos, including Bable Di Pagg, Kise Da Pyar, Sham Da Rang, Chalno Hata Te Mithiye (Unfuckwithable), Jittange Haunsle Nal, Dheeyan and Kanghi.
She has also been associated with the Bollywood project Mai Vapis Aaunga, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Imtiaz Ali.

Far from resting on her achievements, Harashjot Kaur continues to expand her creative horizons. Her upcoming projects include feature films Boota Te Babli and Preta, besides From Punjab to Western World, a documentary centred on the life and legacy of Sant Teja Singh Ji.
