Sangrur (Punjab, September 21, 2026: Punjab Cabinet Minister Aman Arora has accused opposition parties of “doing politics” over the case of Jagseer Singh Jagga, who allegedly attempted to end his life by consuming a poisonous substance outside the Sangrur Deputy Commissioner’s office.
Arora alleged that opposition leaders were portraying Jagga as someone who had taken a stand against drugs, while claiming that the facts were different.
According to Arora, Jagga was allegedly involved in drug trafficking and was known locally by the name “Jagga Blackia”. He accused opposition leaders of making statements without establishing the facts.
Arora said the matter should be viewed on the basis of verified information rather than political claims. The minister’s remarks came amid controversy surrounding Jagga’s suicide attempt outside the Sangrur DC office.
Arora maintained that the allegations being made by the opposition did not reflect the facts of the case and accused them of attempting to use the incident for political purposes.
