Roop Kaur Sandhu to appear before Sri Akal Takht Jathedar on Oct 9, says will submit evidence

Amritsar (Punjab), October 2, 2026: Roop Kaur Sandhu, who was recently expelled from the Shiromani Akali Dal, has said she will appear before the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib on October 9 and present evidence concerning the issues she has raised.
In a video statement issued on Friday, Sandhu said that, apart from the matter involving a Bahraini woman, she would place the information and evidence available with her before the Jathedar.
She said that after the Jathedar takes a decision on the matter, she would also take the issue before the “people’s court”. Sandhu further said that if the woman concerned wished to appear before the Jathedar, she was ready to accompany her.
The development comes days after Sandhu was expelled from the Shiromani Akali Dal over alleged indiscipline and misconduct.
