Dal Khalsa and AISSF join hands, to work in coordination for independence of Punjab

In a significant development, the All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) has resolved to work in coordination and understanding with the Dal Khalsa in future.
Reiterating their goal for independence of Punjab through right to self determination, the Dal Khalsa president Harpal Singh Cheema and AISSF working head Karnail Singh Peermohamad has announced the unity pact between both the hardliners groups at a press conference held at Dal Khalsa office.
They mutually decided to return the reins of leadership of AISSF to students by coming March 14 when a new organizational structure will come into place. Till then, Peermohamad would work as a caretaker head of the federation.
It was also decided that Peermohamad would join the Dal Khalsa hierarchy on March 14.
Both the organization resolved not to participate in the parliament and assembly elections under Indian dispensation. However, they clarified that they would contest the general elections of the SGPC.
Dal Khalsa spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh told the media that before signing the unity document heads of both the organizations took the blessings of Guru Sahiban and performed Ardas at Gurdwara built in memory of June 1984 martyrs at Darbar Sahib.
Dal Khalsa activists Ranbir Singh, Nobeljit Singh, Federation leader Advocate Parminder Singh Dhingra and Karaj Singh and others were present.
