“Sri Fatehgarh Sahib – Land of Supreme Sacrifices” book presented to Governor Kataria

Chandigarh, December 29, 2025: A solemn and spiritually uplifting Shaheedi Sabad Kirtan was organised at Guru Nanak Dev Auditorium, Lok Bhawan, in the august presence of Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh. The programme paid heartfelt tribute to the supreme martyrdom (Shaheedi) of Sahibzada Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Sahibzada Baba Fateh Singh Ji, revered symbols of unwavering faith, courage and sacrifice in Sikh history.
On this sacred occasion, the divinely rendered Sabad “Nikki Jinda Vadde Sake” was humbly dedicated to the immortal sacrifice of the Sahibzadas, evoking deep spiritual resonance among the gathering.
It was a moment of honour and humility for Dr Hitender Suri, MD, Rana Hospital, Sirhind, and author of the book “Sri Fatehgarh Sahib – Land of Supreme Sacrifices,” who had the privilege of presenting his authored work to His Excellency the Hon’ble Governor, marking a significant milestone in the journey of this publication dedicated to the hallowed land of martyrdom.
The event was further graced by the distinguished presence of Shri Harvinder Kalyan, Hon’ble Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha; Shri Satya Pal Jain, Senior BJP Leader and Supreme Court Advocate; Shri Didar Singh Bhatti, BJP President, Fatehgarh Sahib; Shri Ramvir Bhatti, BJP General Secretary; Smt. Harpreet Kaur Babla, Hon’ble Mayor of Chandigarh; and Shri Shiv Dular Singh Dhillon, IAS, Secretary & Chief Executive, Punjab Red Cross.
Deep gratitude was expressed to Prof. Acchru Singh (Shrimoni Shahitkar) for his scholarly and meticulous editing of the book; Prof. Ashok Sood Ji for his constant support; and Padma Shri Jagjit Singh Dardi Ji, Owner, Chardikala Time TV, whose guidance and collaboration enriched the endeavour. Special acknowledgement was also extended to Shri Varinder Walia, Editor, Punjabi Jagran, whose inspiration laid the conceptual foundation of the book.
