Late Shangara Singh Bhullar's autobiography 'Yaadaan Da Darpan' release ceremony on March 3
Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan will be the chief guest

Chandigarh, February 28, 2026: The Department of Language, Punjab Government, in collaboration with the Punjabi Writers' Association (Regd.), Chandigarh, will formally release the autobiography ‘Yaadaan Da Darpan’ of late Shangara Singh Bhullar, a Shiromani Journalist Awardee and editor of four prominent Punjabi newspapers, on March 3 at 10:30 am at Chandigarh Press Club, Sector 27-B.
The book will be unveiled by Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan, who will attend the ceremony as the chief guest.
The event will be presided over by eminent literary and journalistic figures including Principal Sarwan Singh, Shamsher Sandhu, Baljit Balli, Manmohan Singh Daun and Ninder Ghunyanvi.
Late Shangara Singh Bhullar penned his autobiography during the final phase of his life. However, the manuscript remained incomplete due to his demise. The unfinished work was later compiled and completed by Dr. Balwinder Singh Thind, Head of the Punjabi Department at Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Droli Kalan. With the support of the Bhullar family, Dr. Thind authored the concluding chapter, bringing the memoir to completion.
Published by Saptarishi Publication, Chandigarh, the 164-page book captures Bhullar’s journalistic journey, experiences, and reflections. ‘Yaadaan Da Darpan’ is expected to serve as a valuable guide for journalism students, budding media professionals, and general readers interested in Punjabi journalism and literary history.
