Dr. SS Dhaliwal honored with prestigious Soil Scientist Award 2025 for global contributions in Micronutrient Research

Ludhiana (Punjab), March 12, 2025: Dr. S.S. Dhaliwal, former Soil Scientist at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) and an Honorary Member of the International Zinc Association (IZA), has been conferred with the Prestigious Soil Scientist Award-2025 at the 5th International Agricultural Conference (NUTRIENT-2025).
The event, organized by Bhai Gurdas Group of Institutions (BGGI), Sangrur, Punjab, in collaboration with Agrimeet and leading national and international institutions, recognized Dr. Dhaliwal’s outstanding contributions to research on micronutrients, secondary plant nutrients, and pollutant elements in soil, plants, and water.
The conference was inaugurated by Dr. S.K. Malhotra, Vice Chancellor, Maharana Pratap Horticultural University, Karnal, Haryana, as the Chief Guest.

Dr. Dhaliwal has been a pioneering force in linking global scientists with state farmers to facilitate the transfer of micronutrient technologies to end-users and policymakers.
His exceptional research has garnered global recognition among the scientific fraternity.He has published 290 research papers in esteemed national and international journals, accumulating over 5000 citations and a remarkable H-index of 33.
His high Research Impact Score (RIS) and significant contributions in agricultural research and soil science played a crucial role in earning this distinguished honor.
As part of the award, Dr. Dhaliwal received a memento and an appreciation certificate in recognition of his research excellence and global impact.The award reaffirms his dedication to advancing soil science and improving nutrient management strategies for sustainable agriculture.
