SBSSU, Ferozepur Signs MoU with NITTTR Chandigarh to boost Academic and Research Collaboration
Ferozepur, March 3, 2026: In a significant move towards strengthening academic excellence and research innovation, Shaheed Bhagat Singh State University (SBSSU), Ferozepur, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh, on March 2, 2026.

The MoU was formally signed by Prof. Suresh Kumar Sharma, Vice Chancellor of SBSSU, and Prof. Bhola Ram Gurjar, Director of NITTTR, Chandigarh, in the presence of senior officials from both institutions. The collaboration marks a progressive step towards fostering academic growth, faculty development, joint research initiatives and institutional advancement.
Under the agreement, both institutions will work together on faculty and student exchange programmes, skill enhancement initiatives, collaborative research projects and the co-organisation of academic and professional development activities. The partnership is expected to create new opportunities for knowledge sharing and innovation, benefiting students and faculty members alike.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives from both sides expressed confidence that the association would pave the way for meaningful academic achievements and long-term mutual growth.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Gazal Preet Singh, Registrar, and Dr. Rajeev Kumar Garg, Dean Academics, on behalf of SBSSU. Representing NITTTR were Dr. Rama Krishna Challa, Dean (Administration & Finance) and Professor & Head, Computer Science & Engineering; Dr. Meenakshi Sood, Associate Dean (Outreach & Resource Generation); Dr. Rupinder Singh, Dean (Research & Innovation) and Professor, Mechanical Engineering; and Prof. (Dr.) Lini Mathew, Dean, School of Engineering and Sciences.
