Ferozepur district secures second position in Punjab
Ferozepur, May 11, 2026: Ferozepur students have scripted a remarkable success story in the Class 10 examinations conducted by Punjab School Education Board, setting a new benchmark in the field of education. The district secured the second position across Punjab in terms of overall pass percentage, bringing immense pride and joy to students, teachers and parents alike.
Sharing details, District Education Officer (Secondary) Munila Arora and Deputy District Education Officer Dr. Satinder Singh said that a total of 9,334 students from the district had appeared in the Class 10 board examinations, out of which 9,184 students passed successfully. The district recorded an impressive overall pass percentage of 98.39 percent, which has been described as a highly commendable achievement.
They said the outstanding results reflect the high standard of education in the district as well as the hard work and dedication of students and teachers. In addition, 12 meritorious students from the district secured places in the merit list of the Punjab School Education Board, bringing laurels to their families, schools and the entire district. Their achievement is being viewed as an inspiring example in the education sector.
Congratulating students, parents, teachers and school heads, the officials said that the success was the result of collective effort, dedication and commitment. They added that the continuous preparation of students and the tireless efforts of teachers made the excellent results possible.
They further stated that the initiatives undertaken by the Government of Punjab and the Education Department to provide quality education in government schools are now clearly reflected in the results. Modern teaching methods, regular academic activities and continuous monitoring by teachers have strengthened the competitive spirit among students.
