CBSA, CGC Landran organizes five-day FDP
Chandigarh, 14 July 2026-
Chandigarh Business School of Administration (CBSA), CGC Landran, organised a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on 'Future Centric Educators: AI Integration in Research', bringing together faculty members from Management, Commerce and allied disciplines for an enriching experience of learning, collaboration and professional growth. The programme focused on the evolving role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in research and education, equipping participants with practical insights into AI-enabled research tools, advanced analytical techniques, digital competencies and innovative teaching practices to meet the changing demands of higher education. Dr. Ramandeep Saini, Director-Principal, CBSA, CGC Landran, and HoDs from the department accorded a warm welcome to the distinguished experts and the participating faculty members.
The FDP featured expert sessions by distinguished academicians and professionals. Dr. Jatinder Singh, Assistant Professor, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib, introduced participants to the transformative potential of AI in research, covering AI-assisted research planning, literature exploration, academic writing and ethical AI practices. Dr. Satinder Kumar, Associate Professor, Punjabi University Patiala, conducted hands-on sessions on Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), focusing on model development, analysis, interpretation and research application.
Further enriching the programme, Dr. Karuna Babber, Assistant Professor, Department of Professional Studies, Post Graduate Govt. College, Sector 11, Chandigarh, shared valuable perspectives on AI-assisted academic writing and publication strategy, digital tools for reference and citation management, research ethics and academic integrity. Dr. Nitesh Goyal, Assistant Professor, DAV College Chandigarh, highlighted the growing influence of AI in taxation and accounting, in addition to the role of FinTech 5.0 and digital transformation in shaping business education.
The concluding sessions by Dr. Tarlochan Singh, Founder Director, Psychowaves Psychological Services, emphasised the importance of a growth mindset and future-ready approaches among educators, while Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Associate Professor, NITTTR Chandigarh, discussed technology-enabled learning and innovative pedagogical strategies for creating engaging and outcome-oriented classrooms.
The five-day FDP concluded successfully with a valedictory ceremony honouring the distinguished experts and recognizing the active participation and commitment of faculty members towards continuous learning and professional development. The initiative underscored the institution's commitment to promoting research, innovation and empowering educators with the skills required for a technology-driven academic ecosystem.
