Amritsar (Punjab), May 25, 2026: Commissionerate Police Amritsar has dismissed rumours circulating on social media regarding an alleged firing incident outside the house of comedian and actor Kapil Sharma in Amritsar.
In an official statement shared on X, the police said that “some irresponsible persons” were spreading misinformation about the alleged incident. The police clarified that an official video statement was being issued to present the facts and counter false claims being circulated online.
Authorities have urged citizens not to believe or share rumours and advised the public to rely only on verified information released through official channels.
The clarification comes amid growing speculation on social media regarding the alleged firing incident.
